So after all the preparation, hard work and sleepless nights, most pantomimes get under way in the next few weeks and I wish everyone involved the very best of luck! Break-A-Leg!
FUN FACT - The phrase “Break-A-Leg” comes from the theatre originally. When ‘understudies’ were in the wings, they would be encouraged with the hope they get on-stage by saying ‘Break-A-Leg’ meaning, break the leg-line. This is the ‘imaginary’ line between the wings and the stage
Isn’t pantomime a phenomenon on its own! I am currently working with people on NEXT YEARS scripts, including a ‘brand new’ title (so secret I can’t event ell you what it is!)
I am very proud of the scripts that are out their for this Panto season including the following selection…
Dick Whittington - Preston Musical Comedy Society
Jack and the Beanstalk - Theatre Worx, Colne
The Snow Queen - Hyde Little Theatre
Jack and the Beanstalk - Turn Again Theatre, Holmfirth
Robin Hood - Lees Street, Lees
Sleeping Beauty - Norton Players, Sheffield
Thank you all for reading and keep in touch!
